Customizable frame size
Every GLOCK Gen4 comes with beavertail backstraps in two sizes. The backstrap frame allows the users to change the circumference of the grip to fit their individual hand size.
Reversible magazine catch
The magazine catch of the Gen4 frame is reversible and enlarged towards the rear of the pistol. The reversible magazine catch is more user friendly to the shooter's reach and allows them to switch the catch to the left or right side of the pistol.
Gen4 RTF - Rough textured frame
The Gen4 has a new rough textured frame (Gen4 RTF) surface designed to enhance grip traction, without being too aggressive. It is present on the frame as well as on the interchangeable backstraps.
Safe Action® System
Three safeties disengage sequentially as the trigger is pulled and automatically reengage when the trigger is released.
Same trigger pull for each shot - short trigger reset.

Surface refinement
The surface of the GLOCK slide and barrel is black and non reflective. All GLOCK metal parts are subject to a surface treatment making them corrosion and salt water resistant.
Polymer frame
The durable and lightweight polymer frame absorbs recoil due to the dampening characteristics of the polymer.
Magazine capacity
Depending on caliber and size of the pistol model high capacity magazines are available.
Mounting rail
Mounting rails in front of the trigger guard of all competition, standard and compact frames as well as on G29 and G30 allow mounting accessories such as tactical lights and lasers.
Polygonal barrel profile
The polygonal barrel is easy to clean and its better bullet-to-barrel fit increases the velocity of the projectile.
Loaded chamber indicator
Visible and palpable indicator as part of the extractor to show whether there is a cartridge in the chamber.
Customize the frame of GLOCK Gen4 models
Every GLOCK Gen4 pistol model allows the user to change the circumference of the grip to fit the individual hand size and comes with beavertail backstraps in two sizes.
The beavertail backstraps are easily changed and secured to the frame with a single pin offering the following options: a short frame (SF) version, a medium (M) and a large (L) version.
The beavertail backstraps keeping large hands clear of the slide.
The short frame (SF) version without any backstraps mounted still remains a complete fully functional frame. Its dimensions are smaller than previous generations.

Ergonomic design
