What's the difference between reflex optics (MOS) and standard iron sights?
Standard sights: With standard iron sight shooting, you align the front and rear sight with a hard focus on the front sight.
Optical sights are popular in competitive shooting and are becoming increasingly popular for home defense and target shooters.
GLOCK OFFERS MOS PISTOL MODELS IN:
GLOCK pistol models in standard MOS Configuration come with one numbered GLOCK MOS Adapter plates to simplify the mounting of popular optical sights.
The Slimline MOS Pistol models have slide cuts designed for specific micro-optics and do not include adapter plates.

ONE GLOCK
MOS ADAPTER PLATE SET CONTAINS
- One numbered GLOCK MOS Adapter Plate for use of optical system
- 3 units 6 mm / 0,24 Inch (M3x6) Torx® screws, two screws to install the GLOCK MOS Adapter Plate and one replacement screw. All screws come with drop of glue applied.
- See list above to choose correct plate (depending on slide widths and RDS manufacturers)
Make sure to use only these screws for fixing the adapter plates!
HOW TO INSTALL YOUR OPTICAL SIGHT ON A GLOCK PISTOL IN MOS CONFIGURATION
Step 1: Remove the GLOCK cover plate first.
Step 2: Select the appropriate GLOCK MOS Adapter plate, place it in the correct position and orientation.
Step 3:Tighten the 2 Torx®screws to fix the GLOCK MOS Adapter plate on your GLOCK MOS Pistol.
Step 4:Verify tightness of the screws, depending on ammunition and frequency of use. If a torque wrench is available, the optimum fit is 1.5 Nm / 13.3 lbf. inch. If you often need to screw on and unscrew, make sure to apply another drop of threadlocking type adhesive to the thread of the screws.
Step 5:When the GLOCK MOS adapter plate is completely mounted on your GLOCK MOS Pistol, install the optical system according to the directions of the manufacturer.
Step 2: To mount the MOS Sight on your slide, make sure to use a M4x8 mm flat-headed screw.
Step 3: Only shoot your GLOCK MOS Pistol with correctly installed GLOCK cover plate or optical system.
Warning: If the thread length of the screw exceeds 8 mm, it may cause damage to the weapon and/or may cause malfunction. GLOCK recommends a periodic check of cover plate or optic screws to ensure tightness.
